In this workshop participants will get an understanding of the basic elements of the communications platform, Mailchimp. Requirements: laptop or tablet.

This workshop will provide participants with helpful hints & tips relating to the creation of a Mailchimp account, the importing of contacts and how they can go about planning outbound campaigns to help them market their business. This introductory workshop, which is aimed at business owners who are new to Mailchimp, will also show participants how they can evaluate their campaigns, helping them get an understanding of how successful their campaigns have been.

Workshop would cover the following:

• How to Set up an Account
• How to Import your contacts database (including the importance of tagging)
• Creating Templates
• The purpose of On-boarding emails (designed to welcome new customers or subscribers)
• Integrating your campaigns with your social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram)
• Evaluation Tools & Reports

Participants need not have any prior understanding of Mailchimp. Bringing a laptop would be desirable in order to undertake practical exercises on the day.
